What a blast we had on Winter Camp!
A week of simple outdoor fun and friendship – we loved the new Possum Glider, canoeing with the last of the Autumn colour, bushwalks with baked potatoes and cooking with the kitchen team!
The Cave Hill Creek Cup was again tightly contested with a fantastic win by the Orange team! Gold camp moments included learning to ride a bike, the Room Inspector’s daily inspections, and roasting gooey marshmallows with friends around a roaring campfire. Each of these helped create the lifelong memories that are forged on camp.
Our next holiday camps are Summer Camp – planning is already on the go! Dates are:
Camp #27: 2-5 January 2024
Camp #28: 8-12 January 2024
Camp #29: 15-19 January 2024

Summer Camp for 14-15 year old’s
Cave Hill Creek’s holiday camps are open to children 8-14 years old. Mature and responsible teens 16+ can apply for Junior Counsellor roles at camp, but we do not currently offer a program for 15 year old’s.
We are considering a new program for 14-15 year old’s, run at the same time as Summer Camp. It would include sleeping in tents, overnight bushwalking, cooking on camp stoves etc. More challenging and better tailored to the needs of teenagers.
As part of our market research and to determine viability we are keen to hear from interested families. Please send us an email at [email protected] to express your interest.
From small beginnings hopefully something big can grow!
Did you know we have a brand new activity called the POSSUM GLIDER? This awesome high ropes activity is a balance of trust and teamwork. You can soar through the air like a glider leaping from one tree to another while your team assists with belaying and providing encouragement! How far can you soar?
Ask us about including it in your next activity program!

Beaufort is home to the Cyril Callister Museum. Cyril, the man who invented Vegemite, was born and raised at Chute just out of Beaufort.
Open 10am – 2pm Wed – Sat, or by appointment for school groups, The Cyril Callister Museum educates visitors about the life, work and legacy of Cyril Callister. It celebrates all things Vegemite and hosts tours, speakers and events with a portion of the proceeds returned to the Cyril Callister Foundation scholarship program.
The foundation has created a curriculum coded primary school presentation. Students learn about the history of Vegemite and Cyril Callister’s journey from a small country town in Western Victoria, to creating the most famous Australian food products of all time. 100 years old in 2023, Vegemite is now a vital part of our Australian culture.
